Make sure you act interested in what she's saying... actually pay attention, cause... girls know when you're not listening. Don't ask her TOO many questions though cause she'll feel like you're interrogating her. And even though most women DO want to get married SOMEDAY, don't talk about it the first few dates unless she brings it up. Which she probably won't in fear of freaking you out, but just in case.

It's best to just be yourself otherwise, talk about things you like, compliment her but not on something that she could take offensively (ie: "I really like that shirt, it makes your rack look HUGE!" type of thing) Tell her she has beautiful eyes or something. Chicks really dig that stuff, even if they tell you they don't.

And dress nice. Nothing worse than a man showing up in a ripped pair of jeans and a band t-shirt (unless you're going to like... the batting cages or something)

Movies, music, sports (if she's into that), your family... basic stuff. You'll be fine. If she's already said yes to the date you don't really have much to worry about.

Will first of all how well do you know the girl? If you know each other through mutual friends than it's always easy to talk about them since you have an immediate connection with it. Other than that, talk about how you got to the city you live in and ask her the same. It's harder when you worry about what you are going to talk about rather than just let the conversation take it's course. We all worry about what to talk about that first date, but it'll work out

Just be yourself. Get back to the basics, Chief! Forget about her being some Gorgeous Lady. She's a Friend. Talk about things that you have in common. Dump the nerves. It'll get worse, as you get older.

pretend youre a warlock. this usually makes for interesting conversation. tell her you can travel to different worlds and ask her if she wants to come. and then say no really, do you want to come.
