I've only flown once and it was years ago. I will by taking my daughter on a plane in march (she will be a year old then), flying from Seattle, Wa to Des Moines, Ia. It's going to be an 8 hour trip. I was just wondering how much carry on I will be allowed for my daughter and myself? Like what size of bags? And how much baggage can you check, and how much does it cost to do that if you just have, say, one standard sized suitcase? Any extra info you can give me about what it's like to fly now would be helpful, or any tips about traveling with a baby! Also, are you allowed to bring food in your carry-on? Thanks! :)

Carry on luggage max is 25 and there is a size but not sure dimensions and up to 2 50 pounds pieces of luggage for checked luggage. No fluids, gels, spray, matches or lighters are allowed. You can bring all you want and can eat, many airlines don't feed you anymore, you gotta pay about $7.00 for a "meal" but not like the ones you used to eat or are even use to eat. Im sure that the milk for the baby is ok but just make sure when you check in. Im leaving in the am to Puerto Rico and there's "food for purchase" on a 3 1/2 hour flight.

it truly is an really no longer sturdy idea. * 0.5-complete bottles gurgle. * Alcohol is per chance a "unsafe textile" no longer allowed in luggage * for the reason that there became some type of terrorist close to-omit using a liquid explosive, protection has been extra alert for drinks. * even as transferring right into a u . s . a ., it truly is frequent that one and all luggage be checked heavily at Customs. * Will you've any stopovers alongside the way? you've gotten to bypass by Customs better than once. * Why might want to you opt for to take rum with you? it truly is likely more reasonable everywhere you're going. except it truly is an Islamic u . s . a ., in which case it would want to be an really no longer sturdy idea. Bon voyage!

As far as the amount and sizes of luggage I would suggest that you check directly with your airline as it varies depending upon the type of aircraf that you will traveling on.

You are allowed to bring food in your carry on especially baby food. You can go to the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ they have a special section dedicated to what you can bring on the aircraft when traveling with a child.

Have a great trip and hope this helps!

baggage restrictions depend on the airline you would have to check with the individual airline for their policy. as far as food i believe the allow it if it is purchased after you pass through the security checkpoint.
