The program I want to have load does not have an option to automatically start up. I would like Windows to point to it when loading.
Thanks in advance

Just find the startup folder in your windows system. If you are an user with a name of 'xxx' your startup folder will be listed in :\documents and settings\xxx\start menu\programs\startup.

Locate this folder and paste the shortcut to your program in the folder. Now each and every time windows starts, your program is also loaded.!

P.S.: this is applicable for windows XP. The procedure is same for other windows, but you'll have to locate the startup folder correctly.

Create a shortcut icon to the program, then drag that shortcut into the "Startup" folder in the Start Menu.

Control panel > Software Explorer, under the start-up tab. It works with windows defender on win XP ( if you have it, it works great by the way)
