my friend is hard of hearing and she always had trouble finding a boyfriend. she's pretty, honet and a great girl but guys didn;t want her when they noticed she doesn't hear very well and talks a little funny. well she met this guy who is good looking and they're together for 2 years. the only problem is that he drinks everyday, he tells her she's stupid, that he's embaressed to go in public with her and sometimes is violent. she always goes back to him though 'cause she thinks she won't find anyone better because she's hard of hearing. it's her first boyfriend. i makes me sad seeing all this but is there anything i can do? i feel as if i talk to her about it she won't listen to me and i might losea friend

She needs to meet other happy couples with one disabled person and one not. She needs to see that having a disability doesnt make you unlovable or undeserving of kindness and respect..

I'd take the risk of losing a friend possibly temporarily but maybe helping her out of a bad sitch. Better to do that than watch his violent temper go too far and possibly hurt her permanently or worse...and then feel guilty for not speaking up. Pray on it.

your friend really do deserve a better man, go and tell her that honestly, tell her she does not need that man to complete her, we complet ourselves, she might have this hearing problem but it does not mean that he is the only guy who would love her, a friend of mine cannot walk, she is not even that gorgeous, but her boyfriend love her deeply because of her genuine personality, she loved herself,if your friend loved herself more , she would find the man who truly want her to have the best

You NEED to get her to realize, their are a million ppl in the world, not just him! Tell her u have a feeling that somewhere down the line it will NOT get pretty!

You should tell her to dump that dumb guy. It's most likely he will dump her before she'll get a chance to dump him. He's sucha jerk. As long as you're there for her and give her confidence, I think that's all that matters!
