Me and this guy are good friends who (I think) have been "flirting" recently. Our recent convo consists of him tellin me he turned down a girl he was "interested" in because of some excuse, he'd say things to purposely make me jealous (cute), have little hints in there saying "ohh yeah since i'm your boyfriend..." or "it's cute when girls call in the morning..just so you'd know." of course, i would give him some playful, "mean" attitude - keep givin him more mind games. Today, i texted him early morning to tell him some news concerning campus schedule and told me someone else "told him before me" - i answered back saying, "he wasn't the only one i notified" then he responded saying, "oh at least i got a phone call early this morning". Soooo is he doing this because
he :
1.might me interested in me
2. likes the other girl but playing out his game and flirting on me
3. is "threatening" me so i can make a move on him?

this sounds like something i would do.
he is not trying to make you jealous just to make you jealous but he is trying to "feel you out" by getting a reaction from you to see if you have feeling for him. next time he says something like "this girl asked me out" say oh you can do better (like me). if it turns ugly you can play it off as a joke but if he gets the response he is looking for he will probably joke it off with something like "well i couldn't do worse" to ease tension then he will make his move after that.

I'm not sure. Sounds like he could be flirting but, saying that another girl called him also sounds like he might be a player. Be careful here. He could be on an ego trip because he has 2 girls interested (or more). Continue to flirt with him and if he hints for you to call again say, "Oh, I don't want to get in the way of your other girl". Don't let him be too sure of you.

well boy i am a girl i am straight but 2 tell u the truth r u shure he is gay 2 start with that cuz if he aint and like girls like wich is normal 2 me if he is straight then dont even bother on making a move or any of ur 12 or 3 if he is "gay"then make a move!!!!!!!!!

He's probably hoping that you'll feel threatened by him flirting with another girl, hoping you'll make a move. It sounds like he wants to know how you feel. I suggest you might want to tell him soon. :)
