You will be fine, as long as it is submitted by your school's FAFSA deadline. At the university I attended, the deadline was in March, however, different schools have different deadlines. Also, the faster you get it in, the faster you can get an estimate of how much money you can expect to get in fin aid.

The sooner you send it in the better your chances are getting some help. If you wait too long, even though you may qualify for some help, the school only has so much money to give away, and it is on a first come first serve basis. It is not based on who needs the most help. So get in NOW.

Yes, most people probably haven't sent it in yet because companies are just getting around to sending out tax info which is required on the FAFSA. Just do it before March and you'll be fine.

Actually the sooner you apply the better the chance you will get more money. A lot of schools use your FAFSA to determine grant awards as well.

As long as you send it in prior to march 2nd also depending on the school, some schools require CSS profile, so you may need to check.

no- I send mine in sometime in April/May and still get the same ratio of money that I did when I sent it in the end of Jan. It really doesn't matter, they just want them in earlier. All I get are unsub. loans, it may be different with grants.

yes....it should only push you back as far as your place in line for application reviewing. It shouldn't affect the amount of money you receive.
