It takes 13-14 days from the time the mother starts sitting on the eggs for them to hatch. In the wild the hen wouldnt start sitting until the last egg is laid, so all the chicks will hatch at the same time. This is important for survival, as a canary chick doubles in size in the first 24 hours. If you have a much larger chick it will get all of the food and the other chicks wont make it. In captivity hens will often start sitting right away, which jepordizes the younger chicks. For this reason breeders will carefully remove the eggs as they are laid, replacing them with fake eggs. Then when the last egg is laid, they put them back in the nest.

gestation?? About 36 -48 hrs between eggs. Incubation is a lot longer at a couple weeks- cockatiels are about 26 days, but sooner and later is ok as long as she is still incubating them

regularly a woman canary will lay from 4 to six eggs. they don't get "pregenant" on condition that they lay eggs, yet they're going to lay the eggs from 2 to 3 days after mating. Canaries are "photosensitive" meaning the quantity of light they are uncovered to will set off a opt to reproduce.
