Jesus is and always has been Gods son. In Heaven or on the Earth.
Christ’s statements, in John 17:5, 24, 25 that He existed and had glory with the Father and was loved by the Father before the foundation of the world, provide “ungetoverable” evidence for His eternal pre-existence and Deity.
“And now, glorify Thou Me together with Thyself, Father, with the glory which I [ever] had with Thee before the world was.” (John 17:5) ...“Father, I desire that they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am, in order that they may behold My glory, which Thou hast given Me; for Thou didst love Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, although the world has not known Thee, yet I have known Thee; and these have known that Thou didst send Me...” (John 17:24, 25)

In heaven, Jesus is God the Son.
Christians believe that Jesus had a dual nature, human and Divine. There was a divine Sonship in Heaven from the beginning of time, Jesus words " ...the glory I shared with you before the world began." "...I came down from heaven..." prove this. Why God exists in a way that involves his having three separate entities, making up the Godhead is beyond human understanding.
The time came when God, in his infinite wisdom, had to come down to earth. So a child was born to Mary, not through any man, but by God's power. He was called Jesus and the Sonship of God came down and entered that body.
I think that one of the problems that people often face, is the need and belief that everything has to be and can be explained in human terms and that there should be no mysteries with God. Hence our reliance on science these days. This makes it very difficult for some people to accept things through faith without being able to understand/explain them.
Bearing in mind that Jesus was a Jew and came to live and work among Jews and that they were to be the people chosen to carry the light to the nations, what he did and taught had to be understood within the context of their culture not of our culture of today, but of those people. Culturally speaking, if God had to come down among his people he could do so in no better way than as "a Son of God", especially an only begotten son. Sons were of great importance in the culture of Jews and their ancestors. And the idea of there being a sonship aspect to 'God's being' should have made Jesus more acceptable to them.
Here are just a few verses about what Jesus and others said about his nature. There are others that I can send you if tou wish.
'... most assuredly I say to you, before Abraham existed (ever was) I am.' Jn 8:58
(my italics)
' for in Christ the fullness of God lives in bodily form...' Coll 2:9
Thomas said, after he had met Jesus after He had ascended from the dead,
'My Lord and My God.' Jn 20:28
'....the Father and I are one...' Jn 10:30
'...Christ existed before all things...' Coll. 1:17

So he was the son of God while on earth, but now in heaven, he's back to being God himself. But one day he's supposed to come to earth again -as Jesus, the son, not as God, the father. Seems God's doing a separation act, something like an amoeba! So when you go to heaven, you only get to See God and not Jesus, right? Oh, wait, You can't actually look directly at God either. -Which means you don't really get to see either of them. What a waste. At least if you go to the movies you get to actually SEE it.

The Father Son and Holy Spirt make up one God and God existed before the creation of the world the Son came to the world in the flesh and is with the Father now and is the Son the same as he was before the creation of the world. The Father Son and Holys Spirit are one God. The same as youa re crated in that image having both body and spirit and the two make a living soul. If you consider yourself body and spirit then you should understand that you are more than mere flesh and if your flesh dies and sits in a coffin is that you are you not seperated fom your flesh? Is it still you? Are you now having a personlity conflict?

Jesus is god's son in his image... when jesus was born, he had to obey the laws of nature... to really experience human life.
this is how we can relate to jesus, cause he has gone through some of the same things we do...
shortest vs in the bible.... john 11:35 "jesus wept"
of course jesus also had the powers of god, but he used it only in ways to glorify god. he can do all the miracles and even raise the dead.
jesus is god's son becuase he came from him... and in heaven he is still the son seated at the right hand of his father.

He is God. Do not put limitations on Him.
Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
God, to express His love in terms we understand, God gave His only begotten Son.
God, to defeat Satan, had to put all things under Christ, the Son inherited the kingdom.
Christ was God in the flesh.
Otherwise the 1/3 that followed Satan in the rebellion are as guilty as Satan.
Otherwise all who sin are as guilty as Satan.
Think about it.
