The Lancer all the way. Not only are they extremely quick (low 13 second 1/4 mile stock) but they're also AWD so they'll get you to work in the snow. You've also got a better shot at economy because when you're off boost you've only got a 4 cylinder.
Also, to that guy who raced the Lancer is his Bronco. You definitely weren't racing an Evo. From a dig a properly launched Evo would have put several car lengths on you in the first 60 feet. At that point its tailights would have just gotten smaller and smaller.

The Lancer Evolution will have a much more sportier suspension allowing you to go fast around corners as well as the highway. The Charger on the other hand will have a more soft and mushier feeling suspension that is made more for comfort or going fast in a straight line. Think of the lancer as a track car, and think of the charger as a muscle car. I'd pick the Lancer because its more exclusive but whatever you want, its your choice.

well let me state some facts her. the charger is definetly more popluar. but if your looking for the power and speed condsider this. i raced a lancer with my 95 bronco with a slightly modified 302 and i pulled out a couple car lengths ahead till around 80mph and he caught up then we stoped since we were on a main road. keep in mind it wasnt the top of the line lancer but not the bottom either. and if you get the dodge charger srt-8 your talking 450 horsepower stock. i would take the charger even if it is a chrysler vehicle.

Dodge Charger..I like the front of it. I hate Mitsubishi...I heard the lancers engines don't last long.

Both are unreliable pieces of garbage.
The Lancer EVO at least has a sophisticated AWD system and some rally heritage and technology behind it.
I would say forget both of those and get a Subaru WRX STI.
It has everything the EVO has, plus it's much more reliable and it's faster than either of the cars you listed.

dodges are junk! seriously. plus the evolution offers you all-wheel drive (key if you live anywhere there is snow or poor weather) so you can drive it year-round....PLUS it will have a better re-sale value than the dodge, PLUS it is a model that has been around far longer and will be less likely to have recalls, something i'm sure the crappy dodge is plagued with...it is a no-brainer.
