U can do dry sheets, conditioner, or lotion. But the best thing for static is moisture in the air. Static in hair is actually cause from the air being dry. If you run a humidifier in your house it will work wonders. After all all the other stuff only lasts a couple of hours

Use a leave-in conditioner. So many people say rub a dryer sheet on your hair, but seriously...do you want to smell like you just came out of the dryer? No. Use a leave-in conditioner, but make sure it won't be one that weighs your hair down by looking greasy/oily. I use Biolage on my hair and my daughter's hair. I swear to you, my daughter's hair gets so crazy during the winter time with static electricity. It's terrible. Since using the Biolage products, her hair doesn't move, and it's not greasy or oily-looking afterwards. When it says to use a small amount of leave-in conditioner in the palm of your hand, it means to use less than a dime-size amount. A little bit can go a long, long way. And, make sure to use it in the length of your hair first. Only work it up towards the scalp once the conditioner is no longer in your hands. Then dry like normal.

I have a temporary fix that can go terribly wrong if you use too much. Lotion! Put a little bit on your hands and rub it around so that you have that slight film left and then smooth your hands down your hair. You have to wash the lotion out in the next shower of course but it works for the short time that you might not be able to really fix your hair. Hope this helps you with the staticy hair problem, it's horrible!

Use Static Guard on your brush/comb. I've been doing this since the 80's, and it works every time.

Oil sheen, Frizz-eeze. Frutics Garnier makes good products. Anything that has oil in it. Mousse and/or gel will also work.
