with a bad childhood and unloving parents, has anybody considered divorcing their parents

There is such thing but only can be done if you are in an abuseive enviroment such as aduse drugs ex. but you would live with a family memeber or possibly a home for kids so it really depends on the seriousness of the sitiuation.

For certain situations if you’re a minor can declare yourself an adult via emancipation. You’d then be free of any authority from a parent or guardian, have many of the same rights that any adult would have. However in some cases your legal guardian / parent would have consent to this.

After you reach the age of 18, you have no legal obligation to have anything to do with your parents. I guess you could send them a letter saying you divorce them, but I doubt if it would have any legal clout.

Before the age of 18, you can petition the court to be a liberated minor, which means you're responsible for yourself and you don't have to live with them or have anything to do with them. That's kind of like divorcing them.

More than you can imagine. Alot of parents have been dumped in hospitals and old folks' homes.
