I drank some bad water about 3 years ago and have had terrible stomach pain and problems since then. When I went to the Doctor back then, he thought it could be a parasite but I never got tested. Anyway, I think it still may be a parasite. I've been tested for Helicobacter and had an Upper GI, both showed nothing. What should I do?

Have you been tested for Salmonella? If this is not the case, I do recall a rare disease that was found in several peoples' stomachs on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. It's a fungal disease that's so rare that I do not believe there is even a standard test for it yet. The only way to find out is to get a stomach scope, and have the surgeon take a small skin sample from your infected stomach and look at the tissue under a microscope and test for fungi. It may also be some kind of microscopic parasite. Four common things that can have negative effects on humans include bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.

Go back to the doctor. You may have a very serious condition.
