I use DVD Santa. It is quick/easy and will format and burn for you. It is probably the easiest software I have ever used. You can find it in a search.

You don't say what the format the movie files are in. If your version of Nero does not support that format you may have difficulty. The movies could be archived (if the ending is .rar, zip, etc.) which means you must "unzip" them. A program for this is available free on the internet. Just search for "Unzip software"
After the file is uncompressed (unzipped) you can proceed to use Nero to burn the file to the DVD. If the files are .ISO files and you know that your version of NERO supports these files because you have successfully burned DVDs with that same file extension, then something is wrong with the files you downloaded or your NERO software may need to be updated (I don't know how old it is.)
If these are .ISO files (Disc Image File) then you need a program that will burn these files to the DVD blank disc. Most programs that do this have an option "Burn Disc Image to Disc"

Nero 7 Ultra Edition works for burning DVD movies. Is that the version you have? If you do, you might not have the correct format for Nero to burn and you'll have to get a file converter.

Nero does work, as long as you have the version that can burn DVDs. I have Nero 7 Premium, and it works like a charm. It allows you to burn data, audio, DVD movie discs (the ones that you can place into the DVD player and watch), and others. Also, make sure you have a DVD writer.

I use real player. Just make sure to switch the burning format to "Data" and not "Audio" or the other one. (I think it's "MP3") Let me know how it turns out...peace out!
