I have been diagnosed with fallen metatarsil arches and have been seeing a very good pedorthist over the past year. I wear a very good walking shoe and metarsil bars. But I still get VERY sore feet after a busy day at work. I am in Security and sometimes am required to do a lot of walking. I've tried diclofinac cream but it didn't help.I have found that drugs create unwanted side effects (upset stomach, mainly) . Any ideas? Thanks!

Three suggestions:
1/ Have you tried orthotics for support? (I am not acquainted with metatarsil bars, and do not know if they are similar.)
2/ Bathing feet for 15 minutes or so in very warm water with mineral salts is soothing.
3/ Also, foot massage/vibrator machines (mine looks like a pair of big slippers) can take away pain when used for 15-20 minutes.

I have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, a condition that makes the bottom of your feet feel like they are covered with bruises. His cure was to stretch my achilles tendon (the back of my ankle) and my calf muscles. It cured the condition.

Of course, you should check with your doctor before you try this to make sure it won't aggravate your condition.
