My car stereo just went black, it's dead! All of my fuses in the fuse box are good. I don't know what happened. Please help if you have experience w/ this stuff... thanks

Get in under there and see if one of the wires came out in the back of it... with a 1997, thats 9-10 years on the road (maybe a lil 4x4ing in there) something may have rattled loose.

On the floor on either driver or passenger side, up in the dash.. you may have to pretend you are a pretzel for a few minutes but get a flashlight in there and have a look... make sure there's nothing hanging loose, or pulled out even just a little.

If all appears good and the fuse is fine (replace it anyway, you never know, they're cheap) my guess would be it finally gave up and you need to go shopping!

Sorry no experiance...
but it may be the stereo itself went "out" and wont be back. is it the stock stereo?

Maybe the Connection in back of it came apart or lose-i doubt it but it's possible.

I say think about a nice new stereo...

Best wishes
