I know by cloning we are playing the role of God, which I think shouldn't be messed with. Does it mean, that clones do not have a soul?

I doubt God wants cloning to happen. People have free will, it's not God doing it, it's the people.

No, they have no soul, but neither do humans. We have a brain for consciousness. I think the real question is, would clones have a navel?

Every living thing has a soul - if God didn't want cloning to happen, it wouldn't.
