Love is a basic dimension of human experience that manifests itself in feelings, emotion, behavior, thoughts, perception and attitude. It influences, underlies and defines major patterns in interpersonal relationships and self-identification. Love is variously conveyed as a sense of tender affection, an intense attraction, the foundation of intimacy and good interpersonal chemistry, willing self-sacrifice on behalf of another, and as an ineffable sense of affinity or connection to nature, other living beings, or even that which is unseen.

The diverse range of meanings associated with the single word 'love' is commonly contrasted with the plurality of Greek words for Love, reflecting the depth, versatility, and complexity of the concept. This diversity of meanings is further reflected in the many distinct classifications of love including: romantic love; sexual desire; platonic love; religious love; familial love; true love; and the more casual application of the term to anything pleasurable, enjoyable, desirable, or preferred, including activities and favorite foods.

Finally according to me love originates from HEART and MIND. It may be towards a person of opposite sex, other humanbeings, animals, food, and sos many things. -

I like the way that Shankara said it with such economy: "The world is illusion. Brahman alone is real. The world is Brahman." Anyone can split hairs about this and many do, but the intuition is right on - seems to me. I only can vouch for the recognition, after many years of looking into it, that this personality, this body and mind are absolutely necessary to recognize this.... and more....that it is right here that is the intersection where form is emptiness and emptiness is form. What an unimaginable opportunity for consciousness, created in form by itself, to leap from flesh to spirit and back again timelessly and consciously in unhindered creative authenticity. I am, you are, the very intersection of form and emptiness. It is said in Buddhist circles that only through samsara is nirvana found. Dive into samsara to find Brahman. Really now, are there any other choices? Knowing as Being is before cause and effect...as you reveal in your paragraph above - thank you. Yes, paradoxically we are individually all and nothing and we are the intersection where this impossibility arises. Source is the all of it but it so needs the everyday cup of coffee to know itself! That and the death of a loved one, a child, a broken heart, end of a career, and impossibly, even A Hitler. As Alan Watts always advised....it is not just an "UP Universe." I'm with Phoenix...many bows.

The eyes see and send a message to the brain. The brain in turn, alerts the heart and the heart responds in increased heartbeat. That is the process of love. This is physical. It may turn out to be lust. True love is different. It goes beyond the eyes-brain-heart route. It is created in the mind by God as God is the source of love because God is love. That is why Mother Theresa could love the destitutes of Kolkatta. That is true love.

Mind, body, spirit and most importantly 'Soul.

Every human being has a choice to show love or not. Depending upon their own individual decisions each person make they face their own individual consequences.

Each person look at 'Love' differently. For some people love means sacrifice, for some love means god while for some love means sex.

Each person makes their own individual choice of how to show their 'Love' to others and face their own consequence.

"Learn to love without lust" Mahatma Gandhi,
"Love everyone like your child" Dalai Lama.

Even in your personal life, you are influenced by others to make the decisions. You should understand that every person actions influence every other person actions in this world.

You will be influenced by lover, friend, relative, neighbours and even strangers but end of the day choice is yours. You make the choice and you alone face the consequences.
