Do you have any proof that United States now recognizes Venezuelan refugees?

It's on a case by case basis. I know two people who applied for asylum from Venezuela. One received it the other was denied. You have to prove that you face political persecution if you were to return.

I don't think the US gov't is considering Venezuelans as refugees.
The one thing I do know is that Hugo Chavez now owns the Venezuelan petrol (oil) which in turn owns the Gas station CITGO that is located in several USA states, now I don't know if you get this in English news but about a month ago Chavez ordered citgo to provide free oil for heat to the poor people in the northeastern United States, which means that he gave oil to the people that would have otherwise suffered extreme cold or even face death.
I myself don't like Chavez, and I am an American by birth but I think that instead of worrying about Chavez and all the illegal aliens in the country we need to focus on places like North Korea and Iran, and the war in Iraq, because I know that most illegals even when they are not from here want the best for this country because weather we like it or not they live here and don't want bad for the place they live in. (sounds logical).

No, Sounds like some propaganda to make it sound like the people think Chavez is crazy and want to move here. The only one moving here from Venezuela is the U.S. company Verizon that was in control of their T.V. media and kicked out by Chavez recently.

Everyone is coming this way so we need to deal with it. I think we should have a welcoming party on May 1st. What do you think?
