is there a minimum weight requirment for joining the US Army infantry? I am rather thin, 5'11 155 lbs, and was wondering if I am too skinny.

No, you are not too skinny. I can't recall the US Army minimum weight requirement for 71" (5'11"), but it less than 155. By the time time recruits finish Infantry Training they have loss fat and added muscle, if your skinny you will probably add 5-10 lbs.

Too skinny no...but another 10 pounds wouldn't hurt. I went through the infantry officers school at 6 foot and 170lbs only 5 pound less than I am now. That was 30 years ago.

The M16A1 makes everyone pretty much equal in the end.

Good luck to you.

I don't think that's a problem but the best answer you'll get is from a recruiter. I was 6'1" and weighed about 170 when I joined the navy. I put on weight (good weight) during my tour, trust me when I say you will not come out weighing 155. It'll do you good.

There are height and weight requirements to enter the military. I think you should be fine. I was 6'1" and 140 lbs when I joined years ago, the minimum for my height was 138, I made it by two pounds, and then I gained about ten between boot camp and MOS school. Ah when I was young..... about 175 now.

There is a minimum, but I think you are good. My friend was 6' and about 160, and he was OK. He might have had a waiver, though...You could always start eating lots of eggs...

At least you're not too fat. I saw plenty of lard a**es doing PT when I would drop my husband off at work. It's from all the beer and the pizza on the weekends.

You should be fine. If not, you can't be that far off. Go to a recruiter's office and see if they'll weigh you etc.
