don't skip meals...in fact, just eating more small meals throughout the day (instead of a couple of big ones) will help you lose without exercising.

congrats on the engagement! i hope your wedding (and marriage) is beautiful.

I work for a weight loss company. MRod had the best answer. 5-6 small meals per day. Try to eat something every two-three hours. Brown rice is best. 64 oz of water per day is very important. Cardio speeds metabolism which is our goal so get on the treadmill. If you have a long day get 2 1/2 protein, 3 light starches, 4 veg, 3 fruits, 1 dairy, 1 fat per day. Eat a light dinner(1/2 protein<3 oz> and veggies) no later than 6-7pm & wait at least 4 hours before bed. Work on losing 2 lbs per week (that's healthy). Find a buddy to speed walk or jog with. If you feel hungry after dinner, try something hot to drink like an herbal tea or decaf coffee (a little skim milk if you haven't had your dairy or lt non dairy creamer). You have plenty of time but the earlier you start the easier it will be to maintain a healthy lifestyle especially after you start having kids!!! Congrats! Good Luck and Good Health!

You can keep the rice but eat brown instead. Do not eat sugar or wheat. Fresh fruits and vegetables, all you want until you are full but not stuffed. No candy, cookies, cakes, sodas, or any other dessert or junk food. Stay away from other starches like corn, carrots, and potatoes if you eat rice that day. Do not eat prepackaged food because it all has corn syrup. Do not use condiments. Eat or drink ow fat or fat free dairy. Do eat some chocolate if you like, not much make it dark about 70-90%. Avoid fast food. Try sodium free carbonated water with fruit juice if you love sodas.

Instead of eating 3 big meals per day, eat 5 smaller meals through the day. Increase your fruit and water intake. Try not to eat rice more than once a day, if you can reduce it to a few times per week. You don't have to completely get rid of carbs, but reducing it helps. Increase protein and lean meats. Increase vege's and fruit, salads etc. Cut out the sweets and sugar and junk. Try to exercise no less than 3 times per week for at least 1/2 hour.

After i had my first child i was freaking because i gained 43 pounds and felt huge! Before my pregnancy i lost about 30 lbs so i wanted to get back in shape like i was before. I too love carbs like fried rice and tortia's (Mexican food)!! So i cut back on the rice and breads, drank tons of water so much that i got use to only water, no sodas. I took my son for a walk in the stroller as much as i could a week and the days i couldn't get out to walk i exercised on a ball, did sit-ups, danced to the radio anything that would make me sweat. As long as i had water in me i could work out as long as i wanted. Make sure you eat!! Your body will burn more calories this way and really boost your metabolism into over drive. I love salad with chicken, even the salads at Wendy's are healthy like the chicken mandarin salad. My mom use to eat chicken livers with brown rice once a day and lost a ton of weight! Any exercise is good exercise as long as it's at least 30 min a day. Changing your lifestyle is the first step to permanent weight loss.

Dont listen to Nikki, thats what not to do, is to skip lunch. You cant starve yourself, you body needs 3 healthy meals a day or else it will not be able to get the full nutrients you need. Just eat small portions, and be sure to continue to work out.. Run, swim, cardio, force yourself to go to the gym. You'll be able to do it, you have plenty of time, and congrats on the engagement, and I hope you have a lovely wedding!

That is plenty of time...now all you have to do is dedicate yourself to burn more calories than you intake. You can walk a little more, when you go to work or to the store park you car farthest away you can.You can cut away from either your TV or PC time and give devote that time to weight losing...simply do a little change in ways you do things be more active!! GOOD LUCK!

Proven Method! Believe it or not. I eat at a Buffet, here in town. I only eat one meal a day. I eat, until I can't hardly walk. Ans I don't touch nothing else, all day. I've lost 28 Pounds, in just over 6 weeks. Don't know if that'll do it for you. Good Luck! It WORKS!!!
