Most average girls stop growing 2-3 years after they get their period! I hope this helps! GOOD LUCK MODELING!

Not really, but the height usually plateaus and stops by the time you get out of high school, so in your late teens you will be the height you are going to be at. You're 12 so you still have some growing up to do. Just let nature take its course, and don't worry about it. Also, take a look at your family tree, that will tell you a lot. But in my case, my sister and I are the shortest in the family and I am 5'7 and she's 5'5 and we're grown women. But mom is like 5'11 and daddy is 6'2, and on both sides there's some tall people. But I think I got the height from my grandma, and theres a few more shorties sprinkled. But just keep yourself healthy by eating right and exercising and that will help a little, but you will be the height GOD intended you to be, so don't take it as a disadvantage if you're not as tall as you would like to be.

Be glad you havent had your major growth spurt yet - the longer it takes, the taller you will become later (since after your growth spurt, your bones harden at the ends and stop growing) - and you are still growing a small amount at the moment.

ACTUALLY, girls don't stop developing and growing until they are TWENTY-ONE years of age.

Fact.

Look it up.

Our brain, in particular, doesn't stop developing to its full potential until you're 21. That's probably why it's smart for the legal age to be 21 before you can drink. When you drink before then, it stunts the development of your brain.

And girl, you're 12, you still have plenty of time to grow. Even if you don't, what's wrong with being short? I'm not short but some men like the petite type.

I grew 4 inches after getting my period at 13 so I think you have a good chance of growing some more.

Oh gosh no, you still grow if you are meant to. I grew more after I got my period. A girl doesn't stop fully growing until she's about 20, so you have plenty of time to get taller if you are going to. Don't worry about it sweetie, you'll still grow. Enjoy life as a preteen while it lasts!

Of course, starting/having your period has nothing to do with you growing, I got mine at the same age, I was about your height also, now I'm almost 17 and I've grown alot since then, I'm almost 5'7" now, so... don't worry about it, you'll grown... Hope that helps you!

The body doesn't stop growing until around the age of 16. By that time you usually reach your full height.
