I have Kodak EasyShare Z740 and I can't stand it! :c( Has anyone else had problems with their pictures coming out with flat, abnormally bright, almost cartoonish colors when printed at a store? If I'm looking at them on my computer they are fine, it's just when I get them printed. I had Panasonic Lumix before this and I LOVED it! The pictures came out awesome! They looked just as good or better than my Canon EOS slr. Unfortunatley I had it in my book bag one day with a bottle of wine and my roommate dropped the bag on the floor and the camera got soaked. It was going to cost me more to fix it than what I paid for it. Has anyone used the Panasonic DMC-FZ7 6MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom? I'm thinking about switching back...

P.S.
I've looked up the reviews for it I'm just looking for personal experience. I think that people who have always had a Kodak might not have a comparision for picture quality or they aren't printing them out and that's why its getting such great reviews.

My Kodak had a higher megapixel rate than my Panasonic and my Panasonic still came out crisper and the colors were more true. I've tried touching up my
Kodak's pictures and it gets even more cartoony.

There are like 4 different questions here Ill try to answer most to the best of my ability. Repost again later if I missed the point of your question.

1. Kodak = BAD. I have owned an Kodak and the camera never choices the right settings so the pictures come out blurry, out of color, not crisp. Yes I agree on Kodaks not having a good picture quality.
2. I dont agree on the Panasonic Lumix that it looks better than the Canon EOS... maybe I just like the old school design.
3. In general I have heard it is a really nice camera. Just that I dont like to go outside Nikon or Canons so I have never purchased one before. Go to your local camera store like Sammy's Camera, and test it out there.

It really doesn't go by the brand, the picture quality is based off of the mega pixels and the resolution. So just do your research on the features and that will make it easier than going off brands, because I have an Easy Share and it's a simple point and click with 4.0 mp, and it does me just fine. Another thing is to is how you're taking your pictures and when you do your editing of the pictures will determine the outcome if you are into retouching them or polishing them.
