Catholic from the US, but I must say I deeply respect all religions. Especially Islam because they all seem very nice to everyone, which I didn't know untill I starting talking to them.
I'm happy with my religion because I'm in Confirmation right now and I just got back from retreat and I have never felt so much love in a single room before. That feeling is priceless. There is nothing better than hugging the people you really care about and letting them know that you care for them. It's the love that makes me proud to say I am a Christian.

I'm not affiliated with any particular religion, but I am currently quite open to new ideas and beliefs. (I'm Canadian, by the way). What I like about my "religion" is that I have not been forced to believe anything by my parents or other people in my life, but instead, I am able to be exposed to many different ideas and, in the end, I will be able to make an educated, independant decision of my own. It also helps that I was born a "nothing," so that I don't have the extra baggage of a baptism certifcate or whatever, if I do decide to adhere to Islam or something like that. I am free to make my own decisions, and am not encumbered by any social stigmas that a baptism certificate might carry.

Religion? Ãsatrú. Country? America
What I like best about being an Ãsatrúar? That we are polytheistic. That is, we believe in a number of deities, including Goddesses as well as Gods. That we do not accept the idea of "original sin", the notion that we are tainted from birth and intrinsically bad, as does Christianity. Thus, we do not need "saving".
Because it gives me a fulfillment in life that no other religion ever could do. Being connected to the Gods who are as close to you as bloodkin, following a Lore that teaches you to be strong and independent, honoring your ancestors and the heroes of before, that is Asatru for me.
It gives me strength in daily life, it gives me hope that there are actually Gods that care, and that stand with you if times are hard.
Asatru is the only religion that doesn't clash with the modern day scientific view on the world, it views the world as it is, a natural place, with many Gods.
I like being Asatru because it rewards people who are academically-inclined. Really and pervasively, not just in theory.
I like being Asatru because its ethos match mine. I can be a reasonably good example of an Asatruer; I would never be anything but a marginal, footnoted, troublemaking member of any other religion. I like hanging around with people who think that an oath is an oath, for example.
I like being Asatru because it validates my inclination to bonk irritating people on the head with a Big (Rhetorical) Hammer. I am blunt; in Asatru, blunt is a good thing. "Frith" and "cooperation" are much more resonant values for me than "niceness" or "harmony".
I like Asatru because it is not a One Way kind of religion. I can disagree strongly with other Asatruars about all sorts of things and we can still be in the same religion together just fine. And I don't have to worry about sorting out all the people outside of Asatru, either.

i don't have a religion... and i don't want one.
to me, it seems that most religions are a load of crap, mainly used for the purpose of discrimination (i.e. you always here religions say "if you follow OUR way of life and if you convert to OUR religion, then you will be saved!). it just seems kinda pointless to me to believe in something that there aren't any real FACTS about.
i do believe, tho, that the old ways of religion, where people actually BELIEVED in what they were saying, is good. it's just this whole 21st-century-so-called-religion thing that i'm against. so many people now are treating religion as if it's simply this exclusive club that they belong to. people are always like, "Well I belong to the Roman Church of Christt!! So, I'm rlly cool!" So, you see, I'm not against religion in and of itself, i'm simply against the way we as a society have morphed it into some kind of a contest to see who's better, believes in god (or whatever religious spirit) more, and who will have the higher position in heaven.
p.s. although i feel this way, i don't wish to offend anyone, and if you're christian or hindu or w/e, i don't mean to offend you. ppl have every right to believe in a religion. im just saying y i DON'T believe in one.

Christian, because ever since man was put on this earth he had an inner desire to praise a higher being (look through history) and the bible has only been proven write time and time again so there is no deniing that all through history all men wanted to find and praise the God in heaven

My religion is great because there's no oppressive, constant guilt. I believe in a Higher Power, a Creator, but it is not a He or a She, it's just there in all things. Kinda like the Force in Star Wars :-)
May the Force be with You!

I am a proud Baptist. I love Jesus so I do not like to be in one group or religion. Anyone who believes Jesus died on the cross for their sins and asks for forgiveness for them is going to heaven regardless.
