How about something along the lines of:

Homeworks by Design or
Homeworks or
Home Appeal and offer a byline that you would like to be known by such as "We treat your home like it's our own."

Since you are offering both inside and outside maybe something that would portray those images ....such as

Inside Out Homes or
Inside Out Rennovations
In and Out Rennovations or remodeling etc..

These are just brainstorming ideas that might spark an idea or path for you to follow. Keep asking for peoples ideas and look in the yellow pages for the descriptions people use and juggle the words for a name of your own.

Also, use a thesauras for descriptive words. Although it is cheesy, most people really DO start looking in the "A" section of directories, so consider something starting with an A such as
Advanced Home Solutions

Lucky, there are so many fly by night people doing "handyman" types of work now, people get a little worried about hiring someone.
The best thing you can do is in a brief amount of words state your business, phone number, also, get insured and state that.
You might use the Town name you live or the county name, ie:
here it might be:
Camden County Construction
Residential/Commercial Construction
Free Estimates
Bonded and Insured References Available

Try to focus on something that implies quality such as QualiTech or something. When people pull your name out of a hat such as out of the yellow pages, you are right that the name must sound professional. Just do a search to make sure the name isn't trademarked or used already

Budget Scape's.
Budget Builders.
Scape Options.
Ideal Formations.

then add a one line explanation or slogan.

"Perfection is our Goal"
" Specialist in Exterior and Interior Design"
"Home Interior and Landscaping Experts"

or add something that says it all..............

then choose a logo...........try Office Depot for some business cards. They have some logos that should suit what your business is. But you may know that already.

Good luck to your venture!

Hey Lucky,
I can just picture this on the sides of your truck:
Frapler's Home Services
fix anything,
repairs,
air conditioning,
painting,
landscaping,
environmentaly friendly products,
renovations and building,
staining and concrete repairs.
That's how I came up with it, "Frapler's". Catchy, original, no one else has it!
Hope you use it, or that it gives you some ideas!

Use your name, last of first, whichever sounds better.... and tack on a great, professional slogan.... Say.....

Johnson's Service Professionals... helping to create & maintain the environment you live in:
* Landscaping
* Painting, staining
* Carpentry, woodworking
* General renovations and yardwork

Put your main business occupations in the list.... and please, oh please, let me know what name you decide on!!! I love stuff like this..... I love marketing business and all that!
