We just moved into an apartment.
He has always been in house with a backyard, now he has to be walked to poop, which he does daily.
The windows are high up so he can't look out, he always had a window to look out.
He is a house broken, 7 year old, Siberian Husky.
He is never done this before.

When you come home and see the mess, do you immediately acknowledge that the dog did the mess? Siberian Huskies are VERY intelligent dogs and your dog is trying to force you to give him attention (maybe because of your new living situation).

By acknowledging the mess, you are giving him the attention he wants. Try to ignore the mess see what his reaction is. Don't clean up the mess in front of the dog, but take him into another room and then clean it up. Don't let him see you cleaning it up. By doing so, you are keeping the upper hand and not being forced by your dog to react to his mess. Keep doing this for at least a week and see if his behavior changes. If it doesn't, call your vet.

Good luck!

it sounds behavioral, he probably is not happy about the move and his new surroundings.

Try the techniques you used when you trained him as a pup. Praise him when he goes outside, make the new environment a fun one for him. Maybe give him some treats when he goes outside, get him back into the groove.

Good luck!

I would say all of the above. Plus you can try getting the carpet cleaned. Possibly someone before you had a dog or cat that messed the floor and he is marking it as his.

it's probably behavioral. you can put him in a crate or a small space where he can't hurt himself or tear up anything. hopefully that will work. he's just adjusting to his new surroundings. maybe an extra walk during the day will help him out. good luck.

Let him get used to the new way of life . It must be stressful for him, I really don't think that he is doing it on purpose, maybe he is scared when he is alone now....in the new apt.
