how do i find out if a college is accredited?

also what does that mean?

it means they are a real college and not some strange school calling themselves a college....like clown college, it also means they accept student aid, and once you are in you will be matriculated.

Ask them. Who is your school accredited by?
It means that employers and other schools will accept your education as valid and worthwhile. Genuine.
