Ok, i've seen many people who regret joining a service branch and are rotten to the core about it, then again i see many people who are very happy about what they did, some liked it right away, some hated it but realized how good it actually was. My question is do you thing the ones who cheat the system by claiming back pains (falsely) etc are not giving their full effort or are they in their senses? Did you regret it at first but came to like it as well afterwards?

I saw the same things when I served. Anytime some one tries to cheat the system ...back pains to use your example...they are cheating the service, themselves and are not giving a full faith effort.

I never regretted joining and to this day still think it was one of the top 3 things in my live that I enjoyed doing. Not joining...but serving.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking if people in the military feign illness or injury to get discharged are justified if they hate it so much? My answer is neither yes or no, they simply never belonged there in the first place. If they can't handle the lifestyle they sure as hell could not be counted on when it mattered. Let them weed themselves out, they were useless to begin with. As for the second part of your question, I was in the Navy for one tour. Sometimes I hated it, sometimes I loved it. I think that's the way it's supposed to be, it's not an easy life. But never was I not proud of it.
