My fiance is deploying to Iraq in March, and I would like to make this Valentines special. Any sentimental gift ideas he could take with him to Iraq?

I suggest panties or maybe a sexy photo. Not trying to be nasty but that really keeps soldiers motivated.

Good answers. Some nasty ones as well. Sentimental is hard, I will stick to pratical.

If he is taking a laptop, a hard-drive full of photos of you.
A PSP or PS2 or something.

If I knew where he was headed I could have an idea of what he may need.

My husband loved taking some DVD home videos with him so he could be a part of us still. We made him special videos of our kids "performing" for him and just talking to him and we even taped everyday stuff like eating dinner together, bedtime routine, soccer games, etc. Also we all loved having a webcam to talk back and forth with visuals as well. He also made DVD's of him reading a book so the kids could still have Daddy read them a bedtime story.

My children's father died in Iraq a year ago. I wish I would have sent him a picture album already filled with pictures of our children, me pregnant, his family, our pets etc. He would've really liked it. It's small and it's something he will enjoy looking at.

Good luck.

Body armour would be nice or perhaps a peace declaration.

Make sure he keeps out of harms way.
