technology could be said to be the practical application of science and engineering. Science is usually concerned with finding laws and principles of natures but technology is putting those laws to use to make things for people. the microwave example someone else said is a good one.

Technology is adoption of science base, laws, principles, etc.

Technology can not exisit unless it is supported by science.
