Sometimes attention, or they want you to feel sorry for them and comfort them (female hormone thing) Could also be just a "kind" reminder to never treat them or act that way to them.

You need to "re-phrase" that question to ..why do gurls always take out their anger from their previous boyfriend with the one they have now!
Maybe it is a result of lassitude complex and trying to attenuate the new boyfriend.
It could be allot of things, I just menitoned a few.

You're dating snotty girls, that's why. I'm up front with my boyfriend and we both understand what issues the other one is carrying from the past so that nothing gets taken out on anyone and we can gently remind each other to let go of the past. Honestly, you people think you're in love but you don't know how to act like two adults!

An emotionally responsible woman does not do this. If I've experienced a 'warped sense of man' on my dating journeys. . . I keep what a man has done to that one individual and don't ' blanket ' it over to other men . . . it's not fair to them.
From past ' ill hearted ' experiences, I do have my awareness and ' emotional antennas ' up more . . . but I don't 'take out any anger ' on a man I might meet in future.

GIRLS DO THIS WHEN THEY HAVE NOT YET HEALED OR AREN'T OVER THE PREVIOUS RELATIONSHIP.
MAKE HER AWARE OF THIS....YOU SHOULD NOT PAY THE PRICE FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S MISTAKES, NOR SHOULD YOU BE "THE REBOUND"
TELL HER TO WRITE A LIST OF THINGS "HE" DID TO HER THAT HURT HER.....
THEN ASK HER TO DO THE SAME WHERE YOU ARE CONCERNED.
COMPARE THE TWO MAKING IT OBVIOUS TO HER SHE HAS MISDIRECTED ANGER/PAIN AND THAT YOU CAN NOT TOLERATE HER BEHAVIOR.
SHE WILL EITHER SEE THAT YOU ARE NOT THE ONE WHO HURT HER OR PERHAPS IF SHE CAN'T YOU MUST MOVE ON TO PROTECT YOURSELF.

It is regrettable, but it happens. They were hurt and never had a chance to lash out at the one who hurt her. If you really care about her, show her how different you are. If she cares about you, she will see this and you will win a lot of brownie points for being so caring and thoughtful of her situation.

Cause they're girls, dummy.
And if you want to get a piece of a-s-s every now and then, you'll put up with it or else, you'll be the ex.
