My mom was killed when she was taking a ride on her motorcycle one day. An old man fell asleep at the wheel of his car and crossed the double yellows killing her instantly. It was devistating. I want to get a tattoo in her memory. Any ideas?

what reminds you of your mom? when you think about her or your relationship what is the first thing that comes to mind? it doesn't have to be something that will automatically let people know it is a memorial tattoo. it could be something as simple as... a key because she taught you how to drive. or a pie because she always made them for you... i always love original memorial tattoos that are different.

I think that is a great idea! I did that in memory of my father and brother. My father I have a tattoo of a Azula (not sure that's the right spelling) over my heart, it means freedom bird. My father is free from pain and cancer and is in a better place now. My brother I have a Indian sign because he loved anything to do with Indians and it was his fave. It reminds me of them everyday and makes me smile every morning and helps me get thru the day. You won't regret it I promise you!!!

My mom passed after years of illness 11/29/2005. Me and my cousin , who is like my sister, are planning on getting purple and black butterflies on the inside of our left wrist in memory of her. To me butterflies represent beauty as well as freedom from the things in life that weighed her down.

I am so sorry for your loss.
My father-in-law died last year and my sister-in-law chose an image of his cowboy hat with a rose laying beside it.
I would try to find images that reminded me of her and ask the tattoo artist to help you arrange them into something beautiful.
