Well, since a lot of parents spend the most amount of money on childcare, it will either be double or not much at all.
If you are a stay at home parent, your childcare costs will not rise. You will likely spend more on diapers and food but feeding one extra person doesn't cost as much more as you would think.
Breastfeeding is completely free so that's something to consider as well.
If you put your children in day care, then your costs will double and then some because infants usually cost a little more than older children.
There's college education as well, but personally, I feel this is a cost shared by parents and child so you can make it work well. Plus you are more likely to receive aid the more children you have.
Coming from an investment background I can honestly tell you that it is far better and cheaper for your children to pay off their student loans than it is for them to support you when you retire because you spent your 401k on their college education.
It's more expensive, but not as much as it was when you went from 0 to 1. The first child is usually harder and more expensive than the second. And going from 2 to 3 is like nothing according to lots of parents...ha ha ha

Financially, twice as much. Physically, ten times as much. The money doesn't compare to the mental challenge. One may always seem jealous of the other. You will always be accused of showing favoritism to one over the other. Then the day will come when you're no longer a hero and you will become the dumbest, unfair thing that God ever created. But in the end, as they reach adulthood, money will not have mattered and instead of one child, you will have two children that will love you like you've never been loved. Good luck

If you have to move there is the cost of the actual move, the extra expense of a bigger home, all the initial set up car seat, crib, high chair, clothes etc.... Childcare is going to more then double because you are adding full time care to part time, then diapers, formula if you need it, baby food if you don't make it... I would say about $600/mo extra.

About double unless you utilize hand me downs and if that is a constant it will cause resentment.
