I have a 12 year old male dachshund. Cute, sweet, loving and extremely grouchy at times.

Used to, but he died at 11 years from a slipped disc - loved him heaps - but this breed is know for slipped discs - what your dogs weight as it will cause problems as they get older. And they are very protective dogs
