On homework.... any tips? its just been latley because of emotional stuff.. What do you do to concentrate?

I put classical music ON in the back ground- no words and just sit at the desk with the light on and a timer. No cell phone and turned off the home ringer
I set the timer for 45 minutes and work till it goes off- get up move around, call a friend (10min timer) and then go back for another 45 minutes. I would check my messages, yet only gave myself 15 minutes for a break, if not I would want to stay gone longer. I ate before I sat down to study and only drank water.
I normally studied for 3 hour sets.
I normally would audio record my reading lesson and play it back and reread (look) at it the last hour. I also- did Q's and A's together and it really helped. I actually described the pictures, and believe it or not- I remembered them better.

Remember to move forward in life home work irrespective during studying or during employment home work is back bone of success. Remember not doing homework is admitting failure even before beginning. It is only during home work that one can Learn to concentrate

You should do you best to clear your mind of other things that are pulling at you. Try studying for 20-30 mins and taking a break.

concetrate and think ONLY ABOUT YOUR HW!
Nothing else should be in your mind
try index cards to help review what the teacher taught you...and take your time!
