That's a pic of my haircut. But I am totally hair impaired, before this I had long hair and I pulled it back 99% of the time. What kind/brand of moose should I be using for this? Any other hair tips?

I second Biosilk - but you'll have an easier time if you hunt for Mousse :)

Use it sparingly - you can always build up to more. I usually put a small dollop on my finger tips, the run them up under my hair - like a scalp massage. Pull whatever's left on your hands through the tips of your hair. Mousse is intended to give your hair volume - but you don't want to weigh down the ends of your hair with product.

Honey the reason she said that is because she has to sell products in the salon. It is her job to push products on her clients. If you want to know what products work for you, just experiment like every woman in the world does. Every hair type is so different so just try new stuff and stick to the stuff you like. My girlfriends and I always swap with each other and the stuff I don't think works in my hair, well, works great on my friends. Plus that saves us money and we have more products to try when we trade off.
