You can make a request to have your records sealed, however some offenses are not eligible for sealing. Check with your local courthouse and ask. (The worst they can say is "no").
Generally a juv. is considered between the ages of 7-17. Once you are "of age" at age 18 you are no longer considered a minor.
As far as being denied an apartment, check with you Fair Housing Authority and ask them what the rules are.
Each state is different, what goes for one may not go for another. But, the age definition of a minor is pretty consistent throughout the US.
Good Luck!

1ST degree harassment is a misdemeanor, the apartment management did a credit check on you and found this as a public record. His concern is that you will be not able to pay the rent. At 19 you probably don't have extensive credit record and that why you being rejected.

Hiring an attorney is expensive but you could vacate the record in a few months, but that doesn't solve your current problem. Try to find a way to calm the management fears about paying the bill each month.

S. the place a 12 year previous is criminal. we are actually not purely speaking some checklist here yet an entire life itemizing on a intercourse criminal's checklist. to no longer point out the emotional injury you need to reason to this boy if this is going any added. 12 year olds are actually not emotionally mature adequate for a relationship, or as you seem hinting at, intercourse. If I have been you, i might seek for a counselor to locate what that's approximately this little boy which you detect fascinating and artwork by using your matters simply by fact it particularly is not a organic/generic charm.

Well it usually depends on the state. I am a Juvenile Probation Officer in Ohio and other outside places cannot obtain access to juvenile records unless its the military or adult probation. If you don't admit to the record, they usually don't have any way to check. You should contact the Court where your case was heard and ask them their policy on records release. What type of charge is Harrassment? Sexual? Just wondering...I hope this helps.

oh yea, great misnomer that people have. if they get charged with a crime as a juvenile it will be gone when they are an adult. SURPRISE!!!
You can get it sealed with the hiring of an attorney. Especially if no one was hurt. Laws starting changing drastically during early 90's. Too many kids were dealing drugs and doing violent crimes, believing that they would not have any consequences to pay.

You will need to look into having it sealed and/or expunged. Whether you can or not it depends on the state you live in, as well as whether or not you were tried and convicted as an adult.
You can find out by checking your county's website for information.

You don't HAVE to hire an attorney for this-you can fill out the paperwork yourself, you just have to do it correctly.

It means you were charged, went to court, and were convicted as an adult.
