You can make a request to have your records sealed, however some offenses are not eligible for sealing. Check with your local courthouse and ask. (The worst they can say is "no").
Generally a juv. is considered between the ages of 7-17. Once you are "of age" at age 18 you are no longer considered a minor.
As far as being denied an apartment, check with you Fair Housing Authority and ask them what the rules are.

Well it usually depends on the state. I am a Juvenile Probation Officer in Ohio and other outside places cannot obtain access to juvenile records unless its the military or adult probation. You can get it sealed with the hiring of an attorney. Especially if no one was hurt. Laws starting changing drastically during early 90's. Too many kids were dealing drugs and doing violent crimes, believing that they would not have any consequences to pay.
