bashing christians?? If this is truely a philosophical discussion of religion then why can`t I start off saying give me the facts in hebrew, levitacal, and greek to being a debatable subject matter instead of dribble of God does not exist?? I wish one truely educated nostic could give me logical explaination of why 6000 years of literature is just made up and why their is over a billion christians on the planet??? So your conclusion to contraversy is just insanity???

By your argument, the Koran is equally valid as the bible (afterall, why is thousands of years of literature made up), and Islam is as valid as Christianity (1.3 billion muslims).

The argument from numbers won't work, as it assumes that if a lot of people believe in something, it must be right. In that case, the millions of Germans who supported Hitler's regime must have been right, and the millions of people who believed in a flat, disk-shaped world with a starry dome over it were right, and the thousands of Christians who took part in the Inquisitions, Crusades, and witch hunts of Europe were right. Do you see the problem? It does not matter how many people believe a lie, it is still a lie. If a billion people believed Zeus were the One, True God, would you worship Zeus?
Also, if we're playing the numbers game, then you better rethink your religion. The Christian population stands at around 2.14 billion, Muslims at 1.31 billion (according to the link below), and Islam is growing faster than Christianity. Hey, I guess that means God loves the Muslims more than you, huh?
But when all is said and done, it doesn't matter how many Christians there are in the world, because they are divided into thousands denominations, none of which agree with each other, and all of them accusing the others of not being True Christians. If I am to believe all of them, then in effect, there are NO Christians at all in the world.
