10,000 is correct and it is actually spelled micrometres. Micrometers are used in astronomy and are one million meters big. There are one million micrometres in one meter, 1,000 micrometres in on millimeter, and 10,000 micrometres in one centimeter. The old word for micrometres is microns, or um if you don't have the right keyboard to make the proper u-like symbol. A micron is the same exact distance as a micrometres.
