You need a humidifier. Try to find a cool mist one.
Decorative misting fountains can be found at most larger dept. stores or online.

Purchase a natural shampoo & conditioner through your local health food store. You could have an allergy. I would also suggested once a week to take a little of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (First Cold Pressed) to the tips of your fingers and massage it into the scalp. It is not necessary to put on the hair. Be sure to massage into the entire scalp by parting the hair into sections. Leave it in overnight, put a towel on your pillow so you won't soil it, then wash your hair in the morning. Never blow your hair dry all the way, rather leave it a little damp. Avoid anything you are doing that might dry the scalp like hot air from the blower, turn it to med heat. Last, if you need a little shine to the hair after it is dry just use the smallest amount of Olive Oil in the palm of your hand - rub hands together and gently run fingers through the hair. Again, use very little for shine, as you don't want to make your hair greasy. Good luck! You can look up the benefits of Olive Oil on the internet - it is amazing! Be sure to get the extra vigin first cold pressed. It's the best!

The air is dry in your house and you are very sensitive to it.
Try putting a humidifier right in your bedroom and run it every night. This should be enough moisture in the air to keep your scalp from drying out.
Continue to use a shampoo for dry hair, and condition as well.
Once spring hits and it rains more, you should be able to turn off the humidifier until winter time again.

In the winter time, the air is dryer which causes your skin to dry out, even your scalp. You have dry scalp, I would try a cholesterol treatmen or hot oil treatment. Try googling dry scalp or cures for dry scalp. Hope this helps. God Bless!

I think you should try asking your doctor. Since it's winter, the air is a lot dryer. It drys your skin and drys your scalp, causing flakes.

i would suggest only washing and conditioning your hair 2 times a week, washing your hair, (especially with hot water,) is going to dry out your hair and your scalp :)
