As for your Leviticus 11:9-12, that was so Israel would be a seperated people from other nations so it would be known that they were God's chosen. In the New Testament all this changed
Act 10:11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
Act 10:12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
Act 10:13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
Act 10:14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
Act 10:15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
Act 10:16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

Actually, there are more verses in the New Testament regarding homosexuality. And really, the New Testament is the standard that Christians live by now. When Christ came, died, and rose again, there was no longer a need to strictly live by the standards set by the ten commandments and the books of law in the Old Testament. We live now in the period of grace, under different standards. The old ones are still important, but there are certain practices that are no longer absolutely necessary, for example, animal sacrifice or circumcision. Things like shrimp were considered an abomination because they were considered "unclean." The resurrection of Christ changed many things about "the law" of the Old Testament. There are some practices that are still regarded as sin, for example, homosexuality. And for that, you could find several references to it as being "unnatural" and wrong in the sight of God specifically in the book of Romans. There are other references too, however. Don't make arguments about a religion until you completely understand what they believe.

It's not based upon that verse...as a Christian pastor I take a stand against homosexuality, pornagraphy, adultery, and all types of sexual activity that takes place outside the bounds of marriage. God intended sex to be between one man and one woman for life. Anything other than that is sin in the eyes of God. Some "fundamentalists" take a hard line against Gays because they are such a obvious target. Instead of attacking a gay person for their sin, a Christian should confront that person about the condition of his soul. Only God can save a person, and only God can change that person's sinful lifestyle

Well Acts 10:15 tells Christians that's it's ok to eat anything which the Lord has made good.
Acts 10:9-15
" 9About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray.
10He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.
11He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.
12It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air.
13Then a voice told him, 'Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.'
14"Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean."
15The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."
Later in Acts 11:9 this is stated again when Paul tells the story of his vision. So eating shrimp and such isn't hypocrisy anymore. Now you know.

Well, Lev 18: 22 pretty much says it all.
God created a woman for a man and a man for a woman. It mirrors the love of the Holy Trinity and from it springs forth life. This is the natural order ordained by God. This is why homosexuality is wrong.

NO... Since the law is no longer in effect. The WHOLE law, NOT just pieces of it. BUT, that does not change the TRUTH of Biblical teachings about it in the New Testament.
1Corinthians 6:9 Don’t you know that evil people will not receive God’s kingdom? Don’t be fooled. Those who commit sexual sins will not receive the kingdom. Neither will those who worship statues of gods or commit adultery. Neither will men who are prostitutes or who commit homosexual acts. 10 Neither will thieves or those who always want more and more. Neither will those who are often drunk or tell lies or cheat. People who live like that will not receive God’s kingdom. 11 Some of you used to do those things. But your sins were washed away. You were made holy. You were made right with God. All of that was done in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Some of you used to do those things… IT IS NOT PERMANENT AND CAN BE FORGIVEN!
As for the law:
Ephesians 2:15 Through his body on the cross, Christ put an END to the LAW WITH ALL ITS COMMANDS AND RULES. He wanted to create one new group of people out of the two. He wanted to make peace between them.
Colossians 2:14 He wiped out the written Law with its rules. The Law was against us. It opposed us. He took it away and nailed it to the cross.
Galatians 2:16 ...No one can be made right with God by obeying the law.
Galatians 2:21 ...What if a person could become right with God by obeying the law? Then Christ died for nothing!
Galatians 5:4 Some of you are trying to be made right with God by obeying the law. You have been separated from Christ. You have fallen away from God’s grace... The ONLY verse that talks about falling from grace, and they did it by trying to follow the law!
Jesus said he didn’t come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it. (Matt 5:17) The effect was the same. Once fulfilled it was no longer in effect. The very next verse, Matthew 5:18, looks forward to the time when the law would be set aside. "...Not even the smallest stroke of a pen will disappear from the Law UNTIL EVERYTHING IS COMPLETED."
On the cross, Jesus' last recorded saying, "It is finished," is an important milestone. Because of Jesus life, Satan had been defeated. The law was finished and would no longer stand between God and mankind.
The 10 commandments along with the rest of the law ("commands and rules" from Ephesians 2:15) were "set aside" when they were fulfilled or completed at Jesus' resurrection. We are no longer bound by that law.

Exactly. Jesus' death fulfilled only the laws pertaining to punishments/sacrifices for sins, and for feasts on Sabbaths. It did not, however, nullify the laws of clean and unclean meats. God made clean and unclean meats for a reason. The clean meats are those which can be safely consumed (if properly prepared and not disease-ridden), while the unclean ones are usually those which are scavengers or the "cleanup crew" of nature. Common examples are pigs (which eat ANYTHING; it mystifies me as to why people eat ham) and oysters (who filter-feed, meaning that they filter out the harmful deposits in water. Consuming an oyster will also lead to the consumption of harmful components of the water they were in.) Lobsters are also unclean because they scavenge for dead animals on the sea floor. The Bible also forbids shrimp. Of course, it's an endangerment of health to consume a lobster.
The principles you mentioned also predate the Levitical laws. Even before the introduction of these laws, God distinguished between clean and unclean meats. This is why, when he told Noah to gather the animals into the ark, he told him to gather the clean animals by sevens and the unclean animals by twos (Genesis 7:2). The fact that God distinguished between clean and unclean meats before the Levitical law shows the those laws concerning clean and unclean meats are still in effect and all Christians still obey them.
As for the vision of Peter with the animals, God was teaching Peter to accept others, Gentiles, as God would accept them if they're saved, such as the centurion. It has nothing to do with clean and unclean meat.
So, that's it. I'm against homosexual marriage but I recognize the ample evidence that supports abstinence from unclean meats.

No. They protest homosexual marriage based on political affiliation. But most of them are opposed to homosexuality based on verses from the book of Romans, not the Levitical Law.

In the book of acts that particular law in Leviticus was over turn by Jesus, All food is clean to eat. funny how you get one scripture to back up your thoughts but forget the rest.
Romans chapter one of the NT tells that men shouldn't be with men and women shouldn't be with women.
You should get all the scripture on a particular subject before you go on a rant.
