In the Bible it says "The meek shall inherit the Earth" When the rapture happens who is left on Earth? Non-Christians. I have heard a number of times that Christianity could be a trap. Could this be a sign that it is? I need more people to continue this thought with their ideas.
I am totally serious about this. Im not just trying to cause problems.

There is no need for Christians to even post... for obvious reasons.

Gospel According to Saint Matthew
Chapter 6

33 Seek ye therefore first the kingdom of God, and his justice, and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Be not therefore solicitous for tomorrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof.

The origins of the doctrine of the rapture are hotly debated. The Orthodox, mainline Protestant, and Roman Catholic churches (which represent the majority of Christians worldwide) have no tradition of such a teaching and reject the doctrine, in part because they cannot find any reference to it among any of the early Church fathers and in part because they do not interpret the scriptures the way that Rapture-believers do.

An interesting question but if you want rational, reasonable answers there are at least a few problems.

Problem #1 - We don't actually know that the rapture is going to happen.

Problem #2 - What is the "trap theory" based on? Could it be people who don't like Christians?

Since there is no proof of he basic rapture concept then you can't say what the rules will be.

In the Bible it says "The meek shall inherit the Earth"

But there is some question about the 'inherit the earth' part.
..it could be read as, the meek will be buried, and in doing so inherit the earth by dieing or being killed.

It could be a warning against being meek or weak as you will be a victim of the strong and you will inherit the earth when they kill you.

Don't hate me cus I'm a fart smeller.

You are right that when the rapture happens non-Christians will be left on the earth. But you did not go far enough because it also says that those who are left will go through Armaggeden and will have a chance to accept Jesus!

I was born and raised Catholic, but I went agnostic mostly due to my disagreement with some of the stances the Church has.

I can see the draw to Christianity. A lot of it is about making yourself better, setting yourself up for a good afterlife and all that.

I think ultimately? It's up to you to decide whether or not you want to be Christian. Stop by a few Masses. Write down what you like and what you don't. If the dislikes are longer than the likes, you're probably not going to be happy with the religion.

The earth is to be destroyed and a new Zion is created. Those left on the original earth will be annihilated.

Rapture? No such thing, even in the bible.

Misinterpretation of text taken way out of context.

I'm sorry--but I feel a question like this can't be answered until it actually happens.
