Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aNCVP

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Here is a place that has an article about free background checks - it doesn't look like many are totally free though. They also review several people search websites. Pretty cool site.

Many of the programs listed have consumer reviews, so you can read what others think of it.

Hope this helps!

No, there is not. All criminal acts are a matter of public record, but that does not entitle you to it for free. It just means you can get it if you are willing to pay the fees.

Your best bet is to go through your local LE or clerk's offices. They are generally cheaper than the sites. At our District Clerk's office, you pay per page. At our sheriff's office, you pay $3 or $4 for a background check.

Now the clerk's office will only have any criminal activity in that district. The sheriff's usually only cover the state they are in.

It will cost more for national background checks.

In Kansas, you can check partial criminal histories at the following website:
http://www.dc.state.ks.us/
On the left, on the 5th one down is "Offender Search". Click on that, agree to the disclosure and the next page, you can click on KASPER (Great site for most offenses) and /or click on registered sex offender to find those listed.
