Yes, I work outside and I really notice when it's cold I eat more & also more fat than when it's warm.

Only if the body gets cold itself. If you are all bundled up, then no. But when you are cold yourself, your body start to "shiver" - the muscles help keep you warm this way by burning more calories.
So yeah, if you get cold in cold weather, you probably are burning calories!

Indeed it does. Your body burns more calories maintaining your temperature in cold weather. And 90% of your heat loss is from the top of your head so put that hat on when you go outside.

Basic laws of thermaldynamics apply, your body likes to keep a temp of 98.6 as its normal. If you apply cold your body has to burn and churn to keep its temperature up, so you do burn calories.
Drinking Ice water will do the same thing too, plus you get your daily water intake.
