my daughter was arrested for failure to appear in court although she really didnt have to be in court that day cause her lawyer had postponed it to another day. the lawyer claims the clerk of court made a mistake. i paid $300 to a bondsman to get her out of jail. Can I make the court system reimburse me that money if the lawyer provides me with the paperwork he submitted to them proving she didnt have court on the date they stated she didnt appear?

The court will reimburse the bail fee if you show evidence of the mixup. However, the 10% fee you paid to the bailbondsmen is probably going to be out of your pocket, since they provided the service they were there to do.

I am no lawyer, but I think you are S.O.L. A bail bondsman is A privet business and the court doesn't require you to pay them. You chose to do it so your daughter would not have to sit in jail while you straitened out the mistake with the judge. Probably worth it but I think your stuck on the bond
