(This is gross)(no rude comments, just help )
i had something on my thigh that looked like a scab i left it for like a month thinking it will go.last night i just decided to peel it of it was painful but not a lot. As i continued i found that it was a little deep. so i cleaned a safety pin with alcohol and used it to take it out. out came something that was smaller than half the size of an ant. i examined it to see what it was i couldn't tell if it was a bug or not. i couldn't sleep that night pleaz tell me wat it is ,and if i should consult a doctor (I'M REALLY SCARED)

You didn't mention any other symptoms, other than pain at the site of the problem, so I don't think you have anything to worry about. It could be a tick, but if it was, and there was reason to worry, then you'd know it without a doubt. Could be an ingrown hair folicle, or maybe like a black head. As long as it heals properly, and you aren't running a fever without knowing it's origin, then I'm leaning towards "nothing to worry about."

I can't think of a bug that would have been attached to your leg for a month. It sounds like it might have been a tick, except that they attach, feed and then drop off and hang around until they get hungry again. Even a scab should have come off in a month. Perhaps it was an infected hair follicle.

Hummm,
You should be ok now. Hard to say. Did the object move on removal?
This sounds similar to an in-grown hair. Especially if on the inside of the thigh. A simple in-grown hair can cause the issues you describe.
I have had a similar experience: But I went to the Doctor and he removed a house fly Larva....Don t ask...:P
Thanks

I am no Dr. by any means but I once had a similar situation when a tick had dug into my calf and I pulled it out only to find out later that the head had come off. This is common with ticks and can cause lime disease which can be fatal. I never went to the Dr. and nothing ever came from it. If this happens again you can use a match to burn him out. It hurts a little but its better than dead.

It was probably a tick. Unless you start to suffer Lyme Symptoms (google it) you most likely have nothing to worry about. But if you did develop a rash afterwards at the bite site and did develop Lyme Sypmtoms - see a doctor and tell them that you had a tick bite and then list your symptoms. If you're from a Lyme prone area (the USA northeast) they might actually take you seriously.

It may have been half a bug that you had swatted and part remained in.I hope you kept it without seeing the bug i can't tell you what it was. I have heard of cockroaches climbing into bed sores. You should see the Dr and if you have any of the bug left take it to show him. better safe than sorry!

ewe that sounds gross and really painful that sounds like some sort of infection the little white thing could have been the root of a little cyst although pimples have roots also keep it clean and use an ointment so it heals from the inside out not just the surface I would also keep it covered

if you got whatever it was out, and washed it with alcohol then that should have taken care of the matter, since rubbing alcohol kills germs. Sometimes things are picked up in the woods, from pets, from other people, etc. Check the rest of you and if you're ok then don't worry about it. Wash your bedding and such to make sure...that's it.

ummm, it could have been a tick, but that's unlikely. Morelikely, it was a mole or womething like that, and it could have been cancerous. You really should have gone to see a physician.
