My all around general opinion of the situation is that Jaden is not your baby, he is hers and you should not every be EXPECTED to watch him.

But, obviously, you are expected to sometimes. Although, I think you should ask your mom if this is really reasonable. Tell her you don't feel comfortable with it and maybe she will understand.

Also, the way you and your sister fought is pretty typical of a 13 and a 16 year old. Maybe the profanity is over the top... but it's still pretty normal... the problem is, is that you have this little innocent baby caught up in it.

It's so unfair that because your sister got pregnant that you might have to grow up a little faster than you should have to, but life is not fair and that's the situation.

Now, in this specific case, it's unreasonable to expect you to not go to the bathroom! That's just ridiculous! However, does Jaden have a play pen or something where you could set him if you should have to leave the room for a few seconds? That would solve that problem.

Now, this is the really hard part. Next time you and your sister get into an arguement. You should just stay calm. If you get so angry, you're only hurting yourself by getting worked up. Obviously, I want you to stand up for yourself, but be calm about it.

If your sister begins yelling at you about it, calmly say "I'm sorry that happened but if you're not comfortable with me watching your son, you should find someone else to do it." There's no reason to call her names or anything, just be a bigger person and stay calm.

And learn from her mistakes. Make sure you wait to have sex. Wait until you're 18 and have graduated high school. And when you do decide to have sex use protection - use a condom and go on the pill.

This all is a lot of ask of a 13 year old, but you seem mature enough to handle it. I'm praying for you and your family. Good luck, sweetie! You're going to come out of this mess such a wise and mature person!

It's tough that your mom is a single parent and your sister is a single parent and you have a lot of responsibility because of that.

When you went to the bathroom, you either have to say to Samantha 'can you watch him for a second? i'm going to the bathroom'. Or put him somewhere that he can't hurt himself easily, a playpen or something like that.

All you single moms - what do you do when you have to go to the bathroom? do your take your 1 yr old with you? that sounds kinda strange to me, if so.

Of course your sister is going to be upset if he fell, but he might have fallen even if you were there watching him - kids are pretty good at that.

It sounds like he wasn't actually hurt. Just treat it as a little lesson and make sure that next time you think more about making sure he is safe.

You didn't really do anything bad you know - you didn't leave him alone, right? Sam was there in case he started to do something stupid.

you already answered your own question

"who I should have been watching"

people always ask questions that they already know the answer to, hoping someone will make them think differently.

Apologize to your sister and move on.

Stick to your plan of NOT losing your virginity at 14. The best revenge will be to finish high school (with no baby!), go to college, and be successful. You go, girl! I'm rooting for you!

It depends if you told her that you would then you should have . But if you did not tell her you had the baby so it is not your problem at lessed that is what I told my kid that I have done my time 3 times over and told her I was sorry but I would not take care of him .

Tell your sister that she should be a more responsible parent and take care of her child!

So what did you do? (or not do?) If you weren't watching when you should have, then you are at fault - apologise
