Just against scripture and the religion itself, not Christians themselves. I would like to make a list of the arguments that are backed up by evidence. Thanks in advance.

Best evidence--the conflicting language throughout the bible. What a mishmash of cobbled together writings. Mathew, Mark, Luke and John--read the last chapters of each, see how they have totally different versions of the last days of jesus and his death and his resurection. Then of course there is Genesis where it clearly states that god created man then rested, then a chapter or so later created Adam and Eve in his own image, so any reader with any sense can say that no, Adam and Eve were not the first humans, and some religious nuts try to say that Cain married his sister, though it never says that either---and since there were other people there, it makes sense for him to find a wife in some other land around there. Then there is Revelations, which says a lot of weird stuff, as if the guy was high on some type of drug, yet the various ministers and priests come up with all kinds of "facts" such as when the last days are!

The primary evidence against the historical truth of the gospels is that many of the specific claims (i.e. those which could be tested) are inconsistent with known history. For example, the Slaughter of the Innocents by Herod is almost certainly a myth, because there is *no* mention of such a noteworthy event anywhere outside the gospels. Leaving aside the lack of any external record, The Romans would never have permitted it; and more problematic is the fact that Herod had been dead for several years by the time it would have occurred.

Well, some of the false things in scripture are the claims that people lived to be hundreds of years old, that animals talk, that there is a god who created the universe, that we live after death, that Jesus died and then came back to life, that there was a flood that covered the world, that Noah (himself hundreds of years old) built a giant boat and loaded two of every animal on it.

There's a long list besides that, but that's a pretty good start.

I find it difficult to accept the Bible or any other religion-based text to be the unadulterated word of any diety. How many different translations are there of the Bible? Why is there so much controversy over which version is the true word of God. Religion is a man made institute which has done more to fuel conflict in this world and create chaos. It is abused by mankind to have power and control over others, to divide and conquer. All the atrocities that have been committed in the name of God, Allah, Christ, Whomever. People tend to confuse religion with spirituality when in fact they rarely have much to do with each other.

Simple. The Bible was written, collated, edited and printed by men. The fact that Emperor Constantine, who oversaw and had final word on the layout of the Bible, was not a Christian until he suddenly and almost mysterious converted on his deathbed, seems to indicate that many important facts, facts which Constantine may not have been aware of the importance of, may have been ommitted. In addition Constantine's push to create a single Bible, and his choice to make Christianity the primary religion of the Eastern Roman Empire was a political one, based on the fact the Christians living within the empire were either rioting or threatening to riot due to their oppression. It was a peace-keeping option, not an enlightened spiritual choice.

My biggest problem with scripture is very simple indeed and has nothing to do with christianity.

It is in the book of Genesis where Cain went out to the land of nod and found himself a wife. The scriptures are very vague and does not say much about who this wife was. Was she a sister....a descendent from some other than Adam and Eve...etc. etc.

I do!

You want a list of the issues I have with the bible and its God???
HOLY CRAP WHERE TO BEGIN!!! THE LIST IS MASSIVE!!

Let's start with something that I find very important. HONESTY!

In Genesis 2:17 the bible God says of the Tree of the KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL thou shalt not eat for IN THE DAY you eat there of thou shalt surely die.
Genesis 3:4 -5 the Serpent says You will not die, for God knows IN THE DAY you eat there of then your eyes shall be opened and you shall be as gods knowing good and evil.
Genesis 3:7 AND THE EYES OF BOTH OF THEM WERE OPENED!! (Exactly what the serpent said)
Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, THE MAN IS BECOME AS ONE OF US, TO KNOW GOOD AND EVIL: (Exactly what the serpent said would occur)

Every single point the serpent made in Genesis 3:4 - 5 is proven TRUE!!! CLEARLY GOD LIED!!!

The next issue is one of LAW. It is written in Romans 7:7 I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Now keeping this in mind when did the law come about??? EXODUS 20

Which means in Genesis 6:5 THERE WAS NO LAW!!!!!
However this God said "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

Wicked, Evil??? Without a law how was anyone to know what was good or evil??????

Then we have Sodom and Gomorrah and God setting them up to die. Yes it swas a set up! WHY??? THERE WAS NO LAW!!!
Yet this God said Find 10 righteous and I'll save the city! HELLO WITHOUT A LAW TO ESTABLISH WHAT IS GOOD AND WHAT IS EVIL THERE IS NO WAY TO FIND ANY THAT ARE GOOD OR EVIL!! BECAUSE THERE IS NO STANDARD BY WHICH TO JUDGE!!!

Then the absolute kicker for this God's PURE EVIL is found in Exodus 10:27 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart. (NOTE THIS GOD HARDENED HIS HEART!! AND WHY???)
Exodus 11:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt.
One more plague as if he hadn't done enough already. What more could this God want to do????
Exodus 11:5 And all the FIRSTBORN in the land of Egypt shall die, from the FIRSTBORN of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the FIRSTBORN of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the FIRSTBORN of beasts.

Isn't that sweet this God swasn't happy until he slaughtered children!!! AND YOU THINK THIS IS A LOVING GOD????
GET REAL THIS IS PURE EVIL!!!! THROUGH AND THROUGH!!!!

I COULD GO ON WITH MY PROBLEMS WITH THIS BIBLE BUT I THINK THIS IS ENOUGH OF AN RANT!!!

There are waaaaay too many to count. The bible is very far from perfect, thus rendering the religion itself imperfect.

Here is just a list of the problems in the bible itself.

JC's proposed fulfilled prophesies. Has evidence against it and I can definitely argue it. Not that I want to at the moment, nor am I asking for floods of emails about it, but it is an answer to your question.
