If so...do you think that our offenses can be (subconsciously) transmitted to life outside of the veil of our computers? So much that we show hatred to our fellow human beings who we would have tolerated under normal circumstances?

I think you are getting off on the wrong foot. Nothing in here offends me, sure somethings I don't like, I will admit even turn me off of that person...But offend is a strong word...and hatred is an even stronger one. I take this seriously, but I don't take it seriously outside of its context.... Normal circumstances you are a non-existant person who's question I will answer to the best of my knowledge tonight...and will be gone tomorrow...unless you end up picking this answer (highly unlikly because it is not what you want to hear) and then you will be back in my life for one more day. Your a figmeant of my wildest dreams, nothing more nothing less. You exist through a screan, and that is all, I can't possibly take anything you say as anything more than a grain of salt...quickly lost among thousands of others...Now understand, I am not just singling you out, this is all the questions on here...sure there are lots of people trying to get to me "Was Jesus gay?" "did Jesus get Mary pregnant?" so on and so forth...but honestly I feel much sorrier for the person that asks such questions, than me who has the option of answering them. :-) I hope I answered your question...Just remember, your a fleeting moment, here today gone tomorrow. I can't take you seriously, because under normal circumstances...you aren't anything more than a computer screan...
Please take nothing I have said in offense, you asked, I told you...I mean nothing to you personally
God bless
Kat

The only person who has offended me is Jo. If anything reading what people write on here has made me a bit more tolerant. Fish, for example, drives me insane with his answers, but for some reason I also kinda like the guy. It's clear that he is a sincere soul (even if *in my opinion* he's a bit delusional).

I might be offended at first, but I have to remember that people's opinions are sacred, even those immature and senseless opinions posted for spite and malice. I could try to argue against them, but just to a certain point. You can't really force people into believing or not believing. The challenging and/or offensive questions only serve to fortify my faith.

I do not take this section seriously or personally. Everyone is entitled to their opinions even though there opinions could be wrong. I see the anger and hatred and I do not understand it. I don't know why people hate those of us who do not believe in the God of the bible, i once did and I left that idea behind me, yes, I know people hate me for that also.

Ah, I am rarely offended by anything posted here. I got offended at Yahoo itself for removing a perfectly good question (on a bogus charge) that had already been resolved a week ago.

I am a Christian, and since visiting this site, I have definitely become more disheartened about our world in general. I did not realize how much animosity people had towards Christians. I am surprised how much time and attention atheists and agnostics spend in this category, though. When they come off as angry, I think underneath, they are really fearful about maybe being wrong.

There's no such thing as a stupid question, just questions coming from stupid people. We get alot of that here, because people just come on to try to undermine everyone else. This isn't everyone, mind you, just a few very vocal cretins. Why is it that the bad people are so much more outspoken than the good people?

I just question the motivation behind comments such as "All Christians are Retarded" and "The Sky Fairy" and " Jesus was Gay" and "Religions start Wars" and etc.......
