Not sure about Jacksonville, but I know here on the Indian River (east central Fl.) shrimping is amazing, as is crabbing. Clamming is O.K. but they change the open areas for clamming every day it seems, so I don't keep up with that. And I'm not big on shrimp or crab so my info might be a little outdated, but last I knew, 5 gallons per person per day on shrimp and crabs, no crabbing from boats, and for shrimp it's 5 gallons per vessel per day. Um.... there's a minimum size for crabs I believe, but I can't think what it is, but I do know you aren't allowed any egg-bearing females.

I suggest looking up a few bait stores while you're in the area, they're always willing to help out on that kind of stuff. Have fun.
