the torture of the Jews of the Holocaust? Those people were "forced' into bondage and death. They didn't 'choose' to enter another country illegally. I think it is a mockery for illegal immigrants to assume they are treated ANYTHING like those people were treated.

Some of these people haven't been on here long or they would know the illegal invaders have tried to justify their entry illegally to every conceivable situation known. Not only have they claimed the same treatment as the Jews and slaves, they compared themselves to the Native Americans, claim 'everyone is an immigrant' (no, most of us are native born citizens), or they say, " the pilgrims didn't have a visa", lmao!

It's their lame attempts at justifying their illegal entry into the USA.

They should be ashamed of themselves for assuming they were treated so badly. Here they are getting food stamps, medical care, jobs, low cost housing, they get to break laws with no punishment, drive without car insurance,...I don't believe anyone gets any BETTER treatment, not even the law abiding citizens of this country.

The guy in you class is stupid and doesn't know much about being Latino. I am Latino, and I never compare our struggle to the African-American struggle. It is different, and was not as publisized as the Black struggle. BUT I do have to say that most people don't know that both blacks and Latinos (Mexican people in theis case) have had their land taken away from them: Blacks were enslaved and sold to the Americas while the entire western part of the USA (which was then all of Mexico) was signed off the the white man. They kicked us out of our own land, and did lynch our people in the southwest aswell as Native americans. Of course, African-American Civil Rights Movement had loose ties with the Chicano walkouts, but each has its own history in this country. Both Blacks and Latinos have deep roots in the United States, but comparing the two is wrong because they are not the same. While blacks have had people calling them inhuman, Latinos had people calling them the exact same thing. Signs like NO DOGS OR MEXICANS where posted all the way up until the 1960's. You even said that you don't much about you Latino side, well maybe you should look it up. It isn't fair to say Blacks had it the worst because how do you know other racial groups struggle in America? Asian Americans, Blacks, and Latinos should be friends, because all have gone through struggles in their history in America. Though comparing the hardships isn't right and no one can take your history away from you.

Illegal immigrants should not be comparing. They come into a country illegally and think that they should be treated withh respect. I dont think that they should have very much respect. They came into this country illegally and should go back. I understand that they are in poverty, but they need to respect the other country that they are going into.

Slaves didnt have the opportunity to get a job, have a home, and go to school. So they cant compare. They can go to school and other things, but they still are invading another country. they think that they deserve rights for that? Yeah right. Illegal immmigrants should be deported.

They need to study up on slaves and the Jews before making comparisons that arent even there.

I have no earthly idea. They certainly have no right to do so. The Jewish people and others who died during the Holocaust, the American Indians and the slaves (who by the way, were sent here by their own kind), had no choice in the matter. The illegals do.

Illegal aliens will say and do anything to continue to receive free government services. They have no inner morals or feelings. They are just concern with worship of the dollar, that will be what they are remembered for worship of money

Because victimhood is an effective way to gain sympathy in the US. It evokes guilt in your opposition and creates greater sympathy among your supporters. In essence, it often helps a group obtain a goal.

And, if people say it long enough, people start to believe it - even thought it's a gross exaggeration and a far cry from the truth.

Why do the illegal immigrants compare themselves to the slaves of the 1800's and you sit infront of a computer emulating an Avatar. I find it interesting how the social oppression of minorities makes you moist. Maybe if you understood the comparison of working week by week for a check instead of going to your medicine cabnit to relieve your anxiety with an aspirin you would go do some charity work and learn first hand.

I hope I didn't offend you as you probably have a few aspirin in you already.

It appears that they are desperate to gain some sort of validation to their ILLEGAL cause; however, it never seems to add up the same as either of those legitimate issues in history.

The more they say things like this, more and more people feel sorry for them. They know that they are here illegally, they also know we have bleeding hearts and liberals here to take pitty on them. The poor poor babies.

ummm the same reason some black americans feel entitled to reparations because their ancestor was a slave.
They want a handout. They want something for nothing. They feel society 'owes' them.

( and while I totally disagree about the reparations I mentioned above , its more legitimate than illegals and their 'plight' )
